Godinger’s Shannon Collection of crystal looks at home in both traditional and contemporary settings. The 24-percent lead crystal is cut with a classic Irish diamond and wedge patterning that sparkles luxuriously. The Dublin whiskey set features four crystal 3-1/2-by-3-1/4-inch double old-fashioned glasses, and a 10-3/4-inch square crystal decanter with a starburst-cut ball stopper. Holding everything together with room enough for an ice bucket is an expansive 18-3/4-by-14-1/4-inch tray with rounded corners, silver-plated and polished to a mirror shine.
Like all fine crystal and silver-plate, the items in this set should be washed by hand in warm soapy water, then carefully dried with a soft cloth to prevent spotting. I needed a gift for my groomsmen for my wedding in about a month. I hassled with myself between this set and some much more expensive cystal decanter sets ($150-$185) on other websites where I knew I would be guaranteed good quality. I finally decided to buy these (not a lot of extra money floating around), and that I would return them if they were not of a reasonable quality. 2 of the 3 sets I ordered came in today (4 days with the free shipping option), and I inspected all pieces. I own a more expensive decanter set already that I bought overseas, so I didn’t expect to be too impressed, but I was. The weight of all the pieces is similar to the Waterford Crystal. Almost like heavy glass, but it says right on the box… 24% Lead Crystal. The cuts in the glass are not super fine, but are more than acceptable, and give a very attractive look to this set. The ball stopper is extremely heavy and though not frosted, seats well in the neck of the decanter for a nice seal. I thought the decanter itself looked small in the pictures, but it’s not, it is a standard size (24 oz or so…guessing). We pealed back the paper on the silver tray, and it was mirrored nicely without blemishes (not that the tray really matters that much ayway). Again, this set is not just a good set for the money, it’s a good set…. and the price makes it truly a steal. I would be more than happy to display this set in my home and offer drinks from it to any class of company. I know the gift will go over well, don’t hesitate to buy this unless you just want top-notch crystal and desire to spend more money. Great product.

Ordered this as a Christmas present for that “impossible to buy for” guy of mine. When the box arrived and I inspected the set I was very impressed. The crystal is made by Shannon Crystal in Ireland and is a very nicely cut set. The silver tray is sturdy and looks great. I know my guy will love it, and I bet yours will too!

The quality and beauty of this decanter and glasses is exceptional, especially in this price range. I was skeptical about ordering on line because I really dislike “bad” crystal…I was not disappointed…..I am very happy with this purchase. In fact, it may be my best purchase in years!

I just opened mine up, and I was pleasantly surprised. Very nice, especially for the price.
I have a Waterford Crystal center piece for my dining table, and I’m not saying this compares directly, however, it looks great next to the Waterford, and will be a nice addition.

“Lead Crystal set is Gorgeous and Commands Attention. The glassware looks and feels more expensive then it is. A fantastic value in just the glassware alone, but the serving tray is cheap looking and does not match the quality of the crystal. Mine arrived with a major scratch, and a lot of rust like pitting all over it. I did not contact the seller to exchange the tray because even if the tray was perfect, it would still look cheap underneath the glasses. Another Great Amazon Find!!
