This set of simple but elegant crystal wine glasses would grace the simplest outdoor picnic as well as a multicourse formal meal in the dining room. The glasses are 9 inches tall, 2-1/2 inches across the top, and 3 inches across the wider portion of the tulip shape. They have very thin stems and wide, stable bottoms that won’t tip easily–a design bonus, since no one likes trying to clean red wine out of a tablecloth. A set of these glasses would make a lovely housewarming or wedding gift, along with a select bottle from your favorite winery. –Marcie Bovetz

I received red wine glasses without stems instead of as pictured. I returned them for credit and have still not received word of my refund. Since this was not my mistake but a shipping error, I expect a full refund. When I tried to e-mail about it, I received a run around about my address and password. This is very frustrating. I reordered the wine glasses since this was to be a gift and the next set came (with stems) and are beautiful!

You can compare this brand all you want to Riedel…but you get what you pay for. Imperfections are one thing, but gross lack of quality control is something altogether different. You can do much better with your money if you shop (…) discount rack. I bought these glasses as an affordable gift and was too embarrassed to actually give them.
Why so harsh? Don’t claim to have a world class product, charge people exorbitant amounts for it, and then offer up what would not pass for “seconds” at any reputable glass/crystal retail store.
Am I snobby? NO! Spoiled, maybe. Just tired of false boasting about second rate overpriced products. Spend a few extra dollars and avoid the frustration, please!

Could anyone tell me the height of the Spiegelau vino grande red wine
glasses as advertised on the Amazon site. I need the style that is approx. 8 inches high and holds about 9 oz of wine (measured to the top of the glass). I currently have Spiegelau glasses this size and can’t find them in their collection. These appear to be the correct size based on comments in the Review section. They fit in my dishwasher!

Got these dirt cheap when Amazon first started carrying them.
Think I got these and a half dozen of the Spieglau Chard glasses for $25 TOTAL (less than $3 a stem!).
Original intent was to use them for everyday stuff and save the Riedel for special occasions.
That attitude does them a disservice. They are almost as nice as the Riedels, and even at $50 for 6 are half the price. Still a very good deal, even if not the steal I got.
