Product Description
Named after the graceful ballet spin, the Piroett edges twist to give the piece a feeling of upward movement.Amazon.com Review
Designed for Nambé by Lisa Smith, the crystal Pirouett bowl reflects the graceful motion of the ballet spin of the same name. Balanced on a compact square base, the bowl twists slightly as the sides lift and spread to form a squared rim. The fabulous, heavy bowl is flawlessly crafted of full-lead crystal by skilled European glassblowers, and may be used to hold fruit or salad in addition to simply adorning a table or shelf. The Pirouette collection includes bowls as well as vases in a choice of sizes, each of which is gift-boxed. The crystal should be washed by hand to preserve its brilliant clarity.

Nambé was founded in 1951 in a village of the same name in scenic northern New Mexico. From the beginning, the company focused on hand-producing high-quality, functional items such as sand-cast metal bowls and trays with great attention to timeless, modern design. Porcelain tableware also now joins Nambé’s crystal and metal lines, all of which make exceptional gifts for the most special of occasions. Nambé ware has won numerous design awards, has been shown in or recognized by nearly two dozen museums worldwide, and is part of the permanent collections of many, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York. –Ann Bieri
