The 12 Days of Christmas Collection is inspired by one of Waterford’s best loved holiday collections: the 12 Days of Christmas Annual Ornament Series. Each edition of the “12 Days of Christmas” Collection features a crystal pattern specially selected from the Waterford archives. The 4th Edition Ornament design was inspired by the song as originally written referred to “four colly (coal) birds”, or blackbirds. as we know from the nursery rhyme, “4 and 20 blackbirds baked in a pie” made a meal fit fro a king.

It is because of that populartity that Waterford has come up with a spin on that original collection and has adapted the patterns for a collection of flutes, each one showcasing a particular Waterford pattern and twelve days symbol. The fourth in this series are the Calling Birds on a flute cut with the Powerscourt pattern. Also included is a silverplated calling bird charm with an emerald enhancer. This collection’s flutes are sold as singles in a hinged red gift box.
