This Frank Lloyd Wright Tree of Life art glass pattern is found in several variations in Frank Lloyd Wright’s Darwin D. Martin House. The four-pot variation is found on the central landing of the Martin House stairway. This exquisite adaptation of the window is framed with a copper patina frame for an antique feel and is perfect for desktop display. On this glass panel, enamel colors are individually applied to a single sheet of glass which is then kiln fired to permanently fuse the enamels to the glass. The glass panel is then framed with a metal came and includes hanging chain and wood stand for optional desk or table display. Ht: 11.4″. W 9.5″. Product Description
This panel is a reproduction of a Tree Of Life window by Tiffany Studios dating from around 1900. The palate of colors includes earth browns, verdant and mottled greens and russet orange.
These panels are hand-crafted using the copper foil technique pioneered by Louis Comfort Tiffany and John La Farge in the 19th century. This one is made from 1,539 individually hand cut pieces of stained glass and is framed in antiqued brass. A solid brass hanging chain and brackets are included.
Meyda Tiffany has been producing stained glass for over 30 years. The panels are designed in their New York studio and made in China using American and European glass. Some of the glass used is the same types and made by the same glass-makers which supplied Tiffany Studios and other leading stained glass makers over a century ago.
