There’s no more special way to display a treasured photograph than with this classic frame from the Lismore collection.Amazon.com Review
This standing rectangular picture frame is part of Waterford’s Lismore series. Waterford has been making renowned crystal pieces for more than 200 years and has named many of its patterns after towns in Waterford and other neighboring counties. The Lismore design features repeating leaf motifs for a lively, natural look.

The outer edges of the frame curve gently inward and the corner points are truncated for a slight cabochon look, while scintillating fields of small wedge cuts hug the inner border of the picture area. The wedges are punctuated with tiny oval leaf cuts alternating up-and-down; the four corners are denoted with diagonal trios of more elongated leaf cuts. A black velvet backing, easily removed by turning two small metal toggles, holds a photo or drawing centered in the frame. A chain-reinforced easel stand allows the frame to stand at a relatively slight angle. Other matching crystal pieces in the Lismore series include candlesticks, vases, and a clock, as well as similar frames in varying sizes.

To preserve its clarity, wash this crystal frame with a mild liquid soap and warm (not hot) water; do not wash in dishwasher as this may permanently etch surface of crystal. Certain water may leave a lime or mineral deposit on the crystal; if that happens, vinegar on a soft, nonabrasive cloth will help remove the deposit. Rinse with warm water and polish with a lint-free cloth. Do not store frame on its delicate edges or stand on its edge on a draining board. Crystal can focus sunlight into a concentrated beam that could potentially scorch rugs or furniture, so do not store or display in direct sunlight. The frame measures 5 by 7 inches, and the easel stand extends back 3-1/2 inches. –Garland Withers

Impressive on any shelf or counter, this charming diamond and wedge cut treasure keeps biscuits, cookies and crackers fresh.Amazon.com Review
This deluxe lidded crystal biscuit barrel–that’s “cookie jar” in American English–is part of Waterford’s Lismore series. Waterford has been making renowned crystal pieces for more than 200 years and has named many of its patterns after towns in Waterford and other neighboring counties. The Lismore design features repeating leaf motifs for a lively, natural look.

A 16-rayed star is cut into the underside of the lid and echoed on the bottom of the jar; the lid handle is faceted with hexagonal planes. The upper rim of the jar is ringed with half-leaf shapes pointing downward, toward a scintillating ring of diamond wedge cuts. Lismore’s signature elongated leaf cuts alternate in an up-and-down ring beneath the diamond shapes. A natural pairing with this biscuit barrel is the elegant Lismore sandwich tray; other matching serving pieces in the Lismore series include a pitcher, a carafe, and square and pedestal bowls.

To preserve its clarity, wash the biscuit barrel with a mild liquid soap and warm (not hot) water; do not wash in dishwasher as this may permanently etch surface of crystal. Certain water may leave a lime or mineral deposit on the crystal; if that happens, vinegar on a soft, nonabrasive cloth will help remove the deposit. Rinse with warm water and polish with a lint-free cloth. Do not store upside down on its rim or stand on its rim on a draining board. Crystal can focus sunlight into a concentrated beam that could potentially scorch rugs or furniture, so do not store or display in direct sunlight. The biscuit barrel measures 5 inches in diameter by 7 inches tall (lid included). –Garland Withers

That spark lead to a creative outpouring that continues to this day with fresh shapes, styles and interpretations of htis striking diamond and wedge cut. These flutes are a classicLismore shape with starburst cuts on the foot and square cut stem. These flutes are perfect for any occasion toast.Amazon.com Review
An enduring beauty by crystal designer Miroslav Havel, Lismore was first introduced to the world in 1952. Waterford reintroduced Lismore in 2002 to celebrate a reign of fifty years as one of the most popular crystal patterns in the world. Handsomely gift-boxed in dark gray, this set of two Lismore champagne flutes makes an inspired gift for a young couple beginning to build a collection, and complements a wide range of stemware and accoutrements.

Lismore is the definitive, classic pattern everyone thinks of when they think of Waterford crystal. Heavy and lavishly cut to catch and reflect light brilliantly, each Lismore flute features a striking diamond and wedge cut pattern that fires up from the base of the graceful, trumpet-shaped bowl. Stems are six-faceted, and bases radiate with sunburst cuts. A table set with Lismore presents a timeless elegance indeed. Like all fine crystal, these two 9-1/4-inch-tall flutes should be washed by hand in moderately hot, soapy water, then rinsed and dried thoroughly to protect the porous surface from harsh detergents. A crystal glass should be stored upright, not on its delicate rim, to ensure longevity for generations to come. –Ann Bieri
