If you are a fan of Waterford, this angel is a must. The retail price is $175 currently on the official Waterford site, as this piece is current stock there. Amazon is offering it at a discount of $35 with free shipping, which you may not get from Waterford. Another avenue would be Ebay, but there you would have to pay shipping, possible tax, and you don’t have all of the quality and safety guarantees that you have in purchasing from Amazon.
This piece creates a big impression when combined with the nativity pieces (i.e., Mary, Joseph, and Christ child). Otherwise, it is magnificent alone because of the great number of crystal cuts, height (a little over 8 and a half inches), and design. I have 11 of the 13 angels that Waterford has made, and this is one of the most detailed and elaborate. If you know someone who collects angels, this would be a terrific gift.
